Bio: My name is Scott Schaeffer.
I enlisted in the USMC when I was 17 years old and went to bootcamp in San Diego California in the heat of the summer. After boot camp I was stationed at Camp Pendleton California where my MOS was 1371 Combat Engineer working with minefields, explosives and construction only serving one 3 year enlistment. Knowing what I know now I probably would have stayed in 20 years. Upon exiting the service I was in the construction field for 35 years as a framing carpenter then a framing foreman before retirement in 2025.
I started working with the Nation Of Patriots in 2015 first as a participant then as the years passed I started to see all the good things the Nation of Patriots was doing for our Disabled Veterans. I was interested in more involvement in the organization and was introduced to a few people from the organization that got me in touch with Rick Bitzer. After a year or so of talking with him he offered me the position of Regional Commander of California after talking about not having anyone on the west coast to contact about NOP and lack of participation. The NOP was not that familiar out here until we had more someone to pass around information at events about NOP and since then attendance is slowly growing .
I am also a member of the American Legion Post 112 in Ontario California along With the ALR Post 112 and also a member of the Inland Empire Hog Chapter out of Riverside California along with helping out with West Coast Thunder on Memorial day, the largest motorcycle event on the west coast for Memorial Day. I have been Married to my wife Maria Schaeffer for 35 years now and have 4 children and 2 grandchildren with my oldest granddaughter just turning 18 this year. I will be participating in The RFTW for the first time this year in honor of a close friend and Vietnam veteran that recently passed Paul Cousineau Jr. who was recently buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
