Flag Bearer: Charles Ward - For more than 45 years, this proud member of Flagstaff Elks Lodge #499 has dedicated his time and efforts to serving others through the Lodge’s charitable programs supporting veterans, youth, and the local community. As a Charter Member of the Flagstaff Elks Riders, he has been instrumental in promoting patriotism, service, and fellowship throughout Northern Arizona.

A dedicated supporter of the Nation of Patriots mission for over a decade, he has embraced the organization's commitment to honoring our past, present, and fallen military heroes while helping veterans and their families in need.

Being selected to carry the American Flag during a portion of the Arizona Patriot Tour is an honor he holds close to his heart.

"To be asked to carry our glorious flag for such an amazing group of patriots is one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I am forever grateful for such an honor."

His love and reverence for our nation's flag is perhaps best reflected in these words:

"The gentle breezes with lingering caress kiss the folds of no flag which can compare with it in beauty."

As the flag continues its journey across Arizona and throughout the nation, he is proud to play a small part in carrying forward a symbol that represents freedom, sacrifice, unity, and the enduring spirit of America.
